Kijio - Subtitle Editor

Kijio Subtitle Editor Kijio is a new kind of subtitle editing software, where instead of just textboxes, you have a full visual control of the subtitles on a timeline.

This makes editing subtitles a matter of a few clicks. You can easily create a new subtitle entry with a simple right click and drag on a selected location. Kijio system will also check for some time related errors and mark them with a warning sign. Which makes creating or editing subtitles extremely easy, which is the main goal of the Kijio Subtitle Editor.

Kijio Subtitle Editor also allows you to translate your subtitles over 56 languages, which might help you with the translation if you are not good with the base language.

To provide the best usabilty with least effort, the editor uses the VLC Player to play the videos, which means you do not require any video or sound codecs installed to play most of the media file types. It also does not require installation, hence providing the maximum portability, since you can simply copy the files to any location you want.

Kijio is using FFmpeg to build the sound peeks. It is using a prebuilt unchanged source code.

[26th September 2011]

I am glad to announce the release of Kijio 0.60 Subtitle Editor. The new version adds support for a great amount of new subtitle types, keyboard control and some bug fixes.

To view the list of new keyboard actions, please visit the guide page. I believe this will help decrease time for switching between a keyboard and a mouse.

The full changelog can be found here.

If you enjoy the Kijio Subtitle Editor and find it useful, please consider making a donation to help me pay for the server costs and the numerous hours spent developing and testing the software.

Thank you so much!
